Columbia Lunar New Year Event

This series captures Columbia’s Lunar New Year celebration — an evening alive with rhythm, color, and collective spirit. From the elegance of choreographed dance to the energy of live music and storytelling, each frame reflects not just performance, but participation.

More than a show, this event was a gathering of voices, languages, and heritage — students, musicians, and artists coming together to honor a tradition that transcends borders. As I stood behind the camera, I saw more than stage lights and applause. I saw identity in motion.

Culture here wasn’t preserved in glass — it was sung, danced, spoken, and felt. These images are my way of preserving that moment: a celebration not only of the new year, but of the people who keep its meaning alive.
